In the morning, while preparing for a day of “creative work”… that term still baffles me; what does that means exactly? I browse through some design magazines to “prepare my brain” for the day’s events. Tearing out pages here and there because I still appreciate the tactile nature of this media form and review what inspired me that morning throughout the day.
This one-pager caught my attention first by the image of the artist who reminds me of my grandfather, minus the chair. Then I notice his work on the gallery wall saying to myself “huh, politics, always a taboo subject… Me likes”. Finally I review the text… “I work six hours a day, seven days a week,”…”It keeps me off the streets and out of trouble.” Yes Chuck Close, I can relate to that!!!
